THOUGHFUL WISHES
Stuck in a daydream of how things should be,
Hoping for that one day to be finally free.
Skiing down the mountain of time,
Bitter memories triggering mind avalanche.
Short-lived nostalgia is followed by melancholy,
Wishful thinking freezes the sands of time.
Endless longing for anything but the present,
I can almost taste the Sweet nectar of fate.
Brain matter radiating thought frequency,
Woven dreams like webbed cocoon.
Is the Wishful thinker just a dreamer?
Can I bend my reality spoon?
LOL! The reference at the end made me laugh. Nice poem.
