Catching the Sunrise

Some things are impossible to catch

like the true beauty in a sunrise

notice the empty footprints of those that tried

the empty dock, void of anyone but the real artists

the photographers

they do their best

even the one that captured the others

talent indeed

I imagine the time to simply enjoy

was the best way to catch it

but was it really caught?

Only by a memory

and a good camera shot.

The hands remain empty

as it runs away with the morning

and morphs into a sunset as the day fades away.

On into the night

some patiently wait again

as to feast their absorbant eyes -

knowing life and time goes on

they try to catch another sunrise.
