Crimson String

twisted crimson string
tugging at
unmentionable things
nefarious origins
feelings like a yo-yo
snapping string
on the cold floor again
chill engrained
grit covered, it still thumps
agony meets wood seams
always managing
to bounce back
before it bleeds
its last stream
