A Cats Perspective (poem)
I'm Just A Cat
As you stare into my eyes,
I wonder what you see.
A holy terror, or something
cuddly and sweet.
I claw at your furniture
no matter what you do.
Shoelaces and curtains?
Yup, I will probably destroy them too.
But recall all the times I was purring
in your lap.
For that is the place I feel safest to nap.
I hope you love me enough to forgive,
all the times I destroy where you live.
But, I am a cat and that is what we do.
We have our moment's, that much is true.
When you feel down and really blue,
That is when I am always there for you.
For I am but just a cat, can't you see?
So, I hope you will always still love me.
I like your poem! That's just what cats are like. You nailed it!
Thank you :-)
I love it <3
Thank you :-) Poems tend to just pop up like that. I used to jot them down but then lose the paper. I wish I had put them in a book or something safe.
Oh I know what you mean! I have so much thats been lost over the years.
But that is the best- the ones you don't even have to think about...
That's a very nice cat poem.
Thank you :-) I have a crazy cat, who surprisingly is still alive after a yr and a half. He drives me nuts, so this poem was kinda easy to come up with.
that really is a treat poem and for sure told by a cat :)
Thank you. I totally agree. Guess my kitty senses came out through my fingers. :)
