I'm Here - Poem #2

This is another poem I wrote while I was feeling a bit gloomy yesterday. How do you feel about it?

I'm Here

I want to hug you.
And make you feel better.
So put your walls down
And lean on me

Cry on my shoulder
Sing all your woes
I'll listen to them all
Even if it cuts me deep

Sitting here in silence
So close, so far
To hold your hand
Feels like a far away dream

Being with you
Is the best sorrow
The greatest pain
And the ugliest love

In my heart you'll feel
The throbbing sound
Of a song so loud
You'll never hear

I cannot fathom
How I could possibly be falling
For you
For this
Why did it have to be me?

I wish to know
If I am not alone
So I may have the reason
To cut this string that connects me to your hand.
