Mended Hearts
My shadow is the monster you have made out of me,
Every sweet creature in this old town lies next to me,
You smile at me and all the lovely lies come back haunting,
Running through the gardens loving nothing but the dust,
Emptied, this heart starts to rust,
Give me something to rage against,
I will not carry you as I ascend,
These dastardly noises mixed with elegant poise ring through my ears,
It’s time, it’s time to start all over again,
To fall deeply, madly in love for once and all…

Nice and emotional. Believe or not, I can relate. Survived betrayals and yeah the mended heart can be either stronger to trust or more suspicious. Well written and very real, @illusions16 :)
Thank u @happycrazyon. Yeah I can imagine that feeling of not only loosing someone but yourself with them. Although I never suffered heartbreak myself but the thought in itself is depressing. I am glad you could relate to it.

we need more poetry and poets
Nowadays there are more freestyle poets.I think even in freestyle,use of poetic devices is important. That's the beauty of poetry. We need quality poets and I hope I can improvise myself to be one.
