Street Child's Prayer
In the dark corner of the street,
Someone is bowing and kneeling down her knees;
And slowly prayed for another day.
Keeping in soft tune she sincerely prayed,
For she was able to eat at the end of the day;
Thanking the small grace she had made today.
Spoken by the heart asking up above,
Tomorrow is another day;
To struggled the hardship in life.
Begging her prayers can be heard above,
Saying and hoping prayers will be answered;
That tomorrow will come everything will changed.
With eyes closed tears falling,
When will be answered her small prayers;
Soon she knows one day it will come then.
She asked is to have and taste,
Food to eat even a small pieces.
Which other child they only wasted.
How come they throw away, food so much to take,
A very grain of rice which they patiently keep;
But others spend carelessly.
She prayed and wish it all,
She can hold some even a small one;
The delicious meal that she only smell.
When can she tasted the sweets,
She delighted saw across the street;
When can she be the one,
To hold big ice cream in her hand.
She asked when it can be given?
The favor she wants not just for herself,
But also for her brother.
She prayed wholeheartedly,
To pleased hear me;
When she can received the long awaited request.
That's what she prayed, she asked to God,
Hearing this earnest request;
Can you endure it to last?
I know soon it will be come,
The answer of her prayers;
Tomorrow when she wakes up,
A beautiful day is yet to arrived.
It is sad how we are so busy with our monotonous work life, we need to slow down and contribute to the needy. Even if it is a polite smile.
Yes it is even to those we come by along in the street we have to show a little smile on our face who knows it gives them hope and save their days.
