How Beautiful is Life?

Unaware of my journey ahead,
I entered the world people heard my cries.
And life is beautiful my mother said, The moment she saw that twinkle in my eyes.
I had learnt to walk now,
But in an attempt to fly, I often fell on the sand.
And life is beautiful my grandma said,
Each time she approached me and extended her hand.
Time is a thief! So many years it took along
Turned that little boy into a handsome looking teen.
And life is beautiful my father said,
As we spent hours looking for my favorite color Jean.
The college days were full of fun and frolic,
Creating mesmerizing moments had become quite a routine. And life is beautiful my friends said,
As we laughed and gulped our lunch in the canteen.
Nervousness was all around, Yes of course! It was my wedding day.
And life is beautiful my in-laws said
As they set free the bride for her new way.
Some financial crisis and twitches and twinges,
A roller coaster of emotions my wife was going through. And life is beautiful she suddenly said,
As I kissed her forehead and assured 'I am with you'.
A responsible father I had become,
Who thoroughly enjoyed the parenting phase.
And life is beautiful my daughter said,
As she winked at me learning to tie her shoe lace.
Today while standing on death’s door, once again I hear some familiar cries. And life is beautiful I still say, As I peacefully close my eyes
I enjoyed your expression, cheers
