The Other Side

To those with a partner who's often a pain,

to those with children that can be quite a drain,

to those with parents who always want it their way,

to those with pets that never listen to what you say,

I offer a few contrasting words of humble advice,

that to those living without,

these things are such a small price.

The grass may appear greener to you on the other side,

but, please remember that your grass is green,

so cherish what you have with pride.
