Subconscious to Conscious

Sometimes it takes a dream
To realize what's important
If we won't listen to our conscious minds
Spirit will tell use when we're sleeping
We have no choice but to listen
To listen to what we need to understand
Awake we ignore and avoid
Block things out that we don't want to approach
To sleep is permission to stay locked in a dream
To succumb to our real feelings and fears and frustrations
To surrender to answers that are always there
At times it all may seem unclear
Hazy in its implications
Upon our awakenings, we try to understand
There are so many interpretations
To link our consciousness with Spirit, our subconsciousness
Dreams are Spirit's tools to build us a way
To approach the things we suppress
But need to discover in order to grow
