Angry Scot’s: Poem
Scottish stoicity
Masculine toxicity
Hard grim faces
With deep frown lines
And frozen shoulders
No love
No empathy
And kindness
The enemy
A tribal warrior spirit
In a time of peace
But peace without tranquillity
The strength is fragility
Mental instability
And un-comfortability
Because if bridges don’t bend
They break
And immovable minds
Can be toppled
By a crescendo
Of negative brain waves
And unseated from their
Shield of masculinity
They reach for the divinity
Of death
Rather than give their
Breath
And fears
To understanding ears
To dispense the tears
And years
Of pent up emotion
But toughness is the
Devotion
Devotion until the end
