The Bus Shelter
We shared a pizza
Rain sluicing from the sky
Sloshing around us
Yet together we were dry
Plastic and metal
Forged a roof up above
We huddled beneath it
Young and in love
It was some weeks later
I wondered what to do
When I held up the stick
Showing not one line but two
As we travelled down the years
We still laughed at that day
We'd used the wrong thing for protection
And got in the family way
really beyond your post tonight friend
