Moving On- Poem

I realise now
It's time to move on
The years are passing
The opportunity has gone

I am looking ahead
It's better that way
You're a long time dead
Isn't​ that what they say?

So, I'll​ see you when I do
No promises mind
You're my past through and through
I'm leaving to be kind
