Human mind is more complex than just the brain
Our brain, like our physique, determines the range and limits of our capacities. In the last analysis we are what our body and brain are. But the psychosomatic system is too complex to be reduced to a single theory or a few principles and formulas. A human being is not like an animal driven only in one direction by his instincts or impulses. He makes choices from among multiple options. A single situation can offer multiple ways of handling it and a man is not driven by any pre-determined neurological compulsion to opt for only a particular one corresponding to his neurological framework. He exercises his power of reasoning to make the most appropriate choice. Sometimes a decision taken in an hour before is reversed. Does it mean that within an hour the neurological structure of the brain has undergone a change? A man can be persuaded through reasoning and argumentation to adopt a course completely the opposite of what he has previously decided upon.
