Upon This Weathered Stone- Poems from the Helm- The U.S.S. MinnowPROSE!
that scatter her favorite shore
You were chosen, called to quietly
A tally to add to her growing score
In the night came the sweetest song
floating over waves that crashed
you steer towards her lilting voice
imagining beauty unsurpassed
The horizon fades but so does fear
as you frantically search the coast
for the woman that pleads for you
the man she loves the most
A silhouette that shimmers
from atop a jagged cliff
from there comes the siren song
seducing ballads and tender riffs
Steered into her shapely shadow
you see her glinting, dripping claws
Stained from the ones before you
tattered skin hanging from her jaws
A thunderous roll and ripple
as the ship buckles beneath your feet
crushed onto the jagged rocks
in water believed to have been deep
The siren who had captivated you
now lets out a monstrous roar
leaping down upon your vessel
and wrenching you to shore
shredding, gnawing, clawing sounds
masked by gentle tidal waves
who knew that beauty so enthralling
could be so vicious and depraved.

Much love, @sammosk and @stitchybitch! <3
Waow awesome beautiful piece.
These are my best line cause people quickly judge by appearance and don't see pain inside.
I love the rhymes too
