[ORIGINAL POEM] The child in the garden

                            The child in the garden

            is a strange thing:

                                      a tiny little animal

                        a tiny little flower.

                 Like a cat it rubs its body against the the lilies

             and its head

                  against the gigantic stalks of the sunflower.

            Perhaps thinking: the sun is good -

                           green is the color of grass.

            Perhaps knowing: I grow!
