To the Unintended

Its been ever so long
since we last spoke
Yet despite the time,
You're constantly adrift
in these memories of mine

You faded away like a
foggy evening into dusk

Now there is no way I am
able to reach out to you

I long to pry into your day

I long to grin at your
wacky replies

I long to go on a globe-
trotting romp with you,

I long to get even a
fleeting glimpse of you again

I hope you are doing swell

I hope you're at
peace
and basking into your light

I hope that sun always
shines for you

I hope this music never
stops

Even if the darkness does
encroach

Even if it does start to
pour

I hope at the end of all
that bad weather

You get a rainbow
shining bright
