Chasing Petals (An Original Poem)
Chasing Petals
Pokes through the soil
Small, insecure.
Naive.
Roots new,
Not developed.
Sways in the mind,
nearly loses it's ground.
Rain patters on it's petals,
Slowly tearing it down.
Weeds emerge,
Choking the stem.
The weather calms,
The flower is now
Strong, sturdy,
Perfect.
