And If (An Original Poem)

And If

I open my eyes,
I open the wide.
And I can finally see
through my disguise.

All these years of my life
lived in ignorance and
strife.
Apathy, judgement, lies:
fifteen year being broken
inside.

Hindered by carelessness,
discipline and rules.
Being held so far back,
miles from hidden jewels.

A mystery in my heart,
one even I don't know.
Yet there lies the key;

Am I ready to go?
