Ode to the Wife
A Sonnet
by memeon
My busy wife, you inspire me to write.
I love the way you hoot, paddle and hunt,
Invading my mind day and through the night,
Always dreaming about the cute forefront.
Let me compare you to a fine balloon?
You are more shiny, dizzy and clever.
Bad sun heats the fizzy peaches of June,
And summertime has the clad foot lever.
How do I love you? Let me count the ways.
I love your astute elbows, eyes and feet.
Thinking of your benign eyes fills my days.
My love for you is the divine poteat.
Now I must away with a briny heart,
Remember my glad words whilst we're apart.
