Behind the scenes

We were meant to start this journey together…
We barred our hearts to each other…
We shared our dreams together…
We believed in each other…

But i guess i was alone…
in thinking we had a future together…
Cos here am i,
behind the scene waiting to be noticed!
… Close but not close enough

… For once… I wanted someone all to myself
…I wanted this future I dreamt of every night
… I wanted my bestfriend to notice that he was the one for me!
But from behind the scenes
I saw someone else make him happy
I saw some else be his sunshine
I saw someone else become his world

From behind this scene…
I saw him shed tears over someone
I saw him lose his smiles over someone
I saw him heartbroken
…and while i felt his pains…
I couldn’t still make him notice me

From behind the scenes…
My own heart was broken…
Our journey together ended before it even started
My dreams remained figments of the wonderland
From behind the scenes…
I learnt the bitter-sweet taste of unrequited love !!
