Angry Goodbye
This one I had no idea what the ending would be until I started getting closer. It just kind of unraveled in my mind as I went along, like most of my poems do.
--
I was sitting at home and all seemed to be fine
Then my girlfriend got angry and started to whine
—
She said we don’t have any money and you don’t have a clue
And I’m tired of you sitting around like you do
—
I tried to tell her I had something important to say
She said she’s tired of listening, just get out of my way
—
She said she is leaving and moving back with her mother
That I shouldn’t bother to call her because she’ll find another
—
There is nothing left here that I can call mine
You can have all this debt, every last dime
—
It’s been so very quiet since she went away
I’m glad I didn’t tell her I won the lottery today

You write very well. Another great poem right there!
Thanks. Do you really think so? I can take criticism.
HAHA!! Awesome twists! You really have a knack of finishing these strong. I really like how you put positive spins right at the very end. It's great that the girlfriend left when she did. Who knows what she would've done with the money she could've hid ;)
