Survival

Taking a walk down memory lane
Recalling everything including the pain

Lots has happened that’s for sure
Many things I was forced to endure
I lost myself before I found myself

But one things for sure I became stronger
Yet somehow along the way I became a loner

I’m not the girl you used to know
These days I just go with the flow

I no longer battle the waves and the tides
I overcame all the downhill slides

So much I’ve learnt along the path
I fully embraced the aftermath

Life goes on as they say
And now my life I’m living day by day
