War - An Original Poem
Of men whose eyes are forever closed
They mastered their weapons
And obeyed every command
Yet, they neither know who
Or what started the war.

They roam the sky sinisterly
Ready to feed on the flesh
Of men who litter the battlefield.
Homes have become burnt houses
And the thread that once held the family together
Has been pierced by bombs and bullets
That snatches babies from the back of nursing mothers.
They sit before their televisions
That break the sweet news of the war.
As with all wars,
Those who started the fire
Are rarely consumed by it.
