While staring at your photo
I feel as though I see
All of life’s unanswered questions
Looking back at me.

What is my purpose?
Why am I here?
What’s the reason for my suffering
For so many years?

In a moment all the questions
All my doubt and all my fears
Are swept away in a single thought
And the answer seems so clear.

God gave me you at a time in my life
When all seemed lost with no hope in sight.
Someone to care for and give me direction,
Someone like you in need of protection.

I promise you now as I promised you then
I will love you forever through my faith in Him.
Always beside you and never to roam,
Because through your love I’m finally home.
