Almost everyone of us has heard this poem "twinkle twinkle Little Star" in our childhood. Today, I got stuck in the memories of my childhood when I heard it from one of my niece. The spark in her eyes made me wonder the magic of this poem.

For all those who missed this poem in their childhood here I am going to share the original version of the poem before I share the Re-twisted one!

Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star" is a popular English lullaby. The lyrics are from an early 19th-century English poem by Jane Taylor, "The Star".

Here we go with the lyrics;

Twinkle, twinkle, little star,
How I wonder what you are!
Up above the world so high,
Like a diamond in the sky.

When the blazing sun is gone,
When he nothing shines upon,
Then you show your little light,
Twinkle, twinkle, through the night.

Then the traveller in the dark
Thanks you for your tiny spark;
He could not see where to go,
If you did not twinkle so.

In the dark blue sky you keep,
And often through my curtains peep,
For you never shut your eye
Till the sun is in the sky.

As your bright and tiny spark

Re-twisted Version

Here is my re-twisted version which I happened to write depicting the realities and leaving behind the dripping innocence of childhood. Hope you will like it!!!

Twinkle twinkle Little star
How I wonder what you are!
Hanging up in the sky, so high,
Tell me something and do not lie!

Oh! Twinkle twinkle Little Star
Do you see the world we live in?
What sort of people we are?
Can you imagine our colors at all?

Twinkle twinkle Little star
Do you see what it takes to survive?
The miseries and the scars.
What are you observations, so far?

Oh my dear, twinkle Little star!
Life gets tougher down here, when we grow up
We always need to pay the price,
For however, we need to show up!

We cannot shine freely, like you do
It takes a while to stand up and walk
But do not worry, as this is not all
Let me tell you much more, except this downfall!

Twinkle twinkle Little star
Hanging up in the sky,
Do you see the light or nearby?
That's the light of emotions and love!

Among us, like you, these exists some stars
Who posses feelings and humanity for all
They love to help and share happiness
They like to heal the scars!!!
