As time passes, my dreams wane,
Wishes of my fairy tale stories dims,
Alas! It was merely a reverie,
The happiness I sought tarts.

Hours blaze just thinking about you,
The days in flames,as I chased,
Months spent trying to muster my courage,
Finally...I reached out after a while.

While it bore unfavourable heart wrecking fruits,,
I never strayed from the feelings I had,
Knowing the problem is a solution itself,
I thought I could build a refuge from straws.

Optimistic as I was born,
Clouded by emotions, a deluded reality,
My imagination got the better of me,
And my heart fell deeply into the black sea.

All was like a mistake but I've no regrets,
Once the incapable one in the maTters of love,
Turned to the celebrated lovelorn over years,
optimism was crazy, giving up was never on the cards..

I've given my all but nothing seem to be enough,
Prayers answers not,I'm broken and lost,
Patience fades whilst hope dies,
All that is left are the memories I hold within...
