Poachers are desperate people...
...desperate people risking their lives to provide ridiculously rich people with stuff they don’t need and only want because they can afford to throw money away in pursuit of status-giving products. Yet another example of how a combination of widespread poverty and extreme wealth create ludicrous inefficiencies. Inequality is the root of all waste, and it is growing worldwide and in most countries.
Poachers are indeed desperate people who energy and efforts goes to waste. If only they could realize how they suffer for someone else to benefit then they will quit and invest their energy in some activity that will benefit them.
