WHAT CAUSES LUST.
Lust in itself is a spiritual thing. It cannot be seen or touched physically but its works are manifested in the flesh.
Bible admonishes us to walk in the Spirit and we shall not gratify the desires(lust) of the flesh. Galatians 5:6
One thing that causes lust to fill our hearts is IDLENESS.
The devil always finds work for the idle person. In the book of 2 Samuel 11, we can see how King David fell into the sin of lust because he was idle.
2 Samuel 11:1-2
In the spring of the year, when kings normally go out to war, David sent Joab and the Israelite army to fight the Ammonites. They destroyed the Ammonite army and laid siege to the city of Rabbah. *However, David stayed behind in Jerusalem. * Late one afternoon, after his midday rest, David got out of bed and was walking on the roof of the palace. As he looked out over the city, he noticed a woman of unusual beauty taking a bath.
NB Always find something doing when you are alone.
Tell the Lord to grant you grace to always keep yourself busy with Him. Amen.
