I have gas, shotgun with five rounds and beef jerky. Not sure what her deal is, but if I give her a weapon for food, what is to stop her from taking the food back once she is armed?

I believe you picked your option after the next game post had already been posted.
Once the new post is up, you can't choose from the older post(s). So if you miss a round, you miss that round. You can't go back and pick an option.
