Plato’s Cave allegory and it's HIDDEN MEANING in PHILOSOPHY and META-PHYSICS

A hand full of humans have been locked up in a cave since birth, they have never seen the outside world of know of its existence. They see shadows and voices and believe that is the reality they live in. One is forcibly un-locked and walked out of the cave, First he see’s the shadows of things – then the source, sun (more on that symbolism later). He goes down the cave again to tell the others about but, the others refuse. In fact, they turn hostile and refuse to see “the light”.

Be Humble – those left in the cave who believe the shadows are real grew far too arrogant, never willing to search for truth. They will never find it due to their hostile reaction to new ideas and more in-depth conclusions. 

Society / Group Think – In a society filled to the brim with people similar to the cave dwellers, those who have found the truth, or more of it, are received with hostile reactions and left out of the group. It’s a very easy comparison from the cave dweller to the world (Particularly the Western World) 

Truth – Like when the guy looked at the sun for the first time. The truth can be blinding at confusing the first time you look at it, it’s much more realistic to look at what the truth affects to finally understand what the truth is.
