Prickly cactus blossoms

She is a little bit beat up but she is old. We see the brown dried blossoms from last year (left) and the new green spiky ones on the right edge.

I do not live in Arizona, so this is not a common sight here. I am glad someone is having luck with these large cacti because I do not.
