Don't Mock the Orange.

This plant is called the "Mock Orange", a common name for several plants. It's Botanical name is Philadelphus coronarius. It is a lovely deciduous shrub ( loses its leaves in winter in cooler climates ). It has cane-like growth to about 2.5 metres high, and a lovely show of white flowers in Springtime. It is native to Southern Europe. This plant is growing a garden in Sydney's Northern Suburbs. We are so lucky here in Sydney because in our climatic conditions we can grow such a wide variety of sub-tropical and cool climate plants.
