Plant Project

in #plants6 years ago

Jacob and I thought we would do something nice for the girls (mom and Kendra), so we decided to plant some flowers and vegetables!

We had a handful of plant pots in our garage and so we decided to fill 3 of them. Two of the plant pots were nice, but the third was a blank slate as it was an unfinished orange.

The plan was to paint the unfinished pot and go to Home Depot and find plants to put in the three pots. We used some paint from the garage, which was a base of teal and we added some black chalkboard paint so that we could also draw on the pot. Here is the planning picture:

We then went to Home Depot and picked up a couple of cheap paint brushes and then went to the plant nursery section. We decided to put some flowers in one pot, and decided on some annuals (always in bloom) called Plumeria. For the other two pots, we decided to get a young cherry tomato plant, and a young jalapeño plant.

We then came home and got to work. Jacob did a good job with the painting (we changed clothes of course) and then we filled the pots with dirt and planted them!

I do not really have a green thumb, but hopefully Jacob and I can keep these alive. The girls loved the surprise as well!

All in all, a fun project and hopefully it will yield some returns in the form of cherry tomatoes and jalapeños! Yum!

Nice post. Caring and grooming these plants will definitely foster a better relationship with Jacob.
As a side note, why don't people comment about the post but instead drop links to their own posts? That's kinda selfish in my point of view.

Ahw this is really cute! Glad it was a nice surprise and he did good work!

These posts are awesome. Keep it up! More people need to spend this kind of quality time with their kids.

It was very beautiful I liked a lot so they recycle and your son learns you are a good dad @brian.rrr

Nice post....
It's quite unfortunate that I hate planting, but have come to realized that it's fun...
Thanks again

Sure, "tomato" plant. Hope you enjoy that bud!

This is a very useful and sharing that everyone should see. We should raise our children with nature. Nature is the healthiest and most beautiful for them. Anyone who loves a flower can love everybody. It can show love. This is to be a good person.
It is our highest priority to teach my childhood love and enthusiasm. Many thanks for this beautiful sharing
@brian.rrr

to give such good duties to children. That's great. it provides both children's development and awareness. just go ahead and give them such good responsibilities and be with them. Then tomorrow we will be saved. Then the world will become a better place.

What a great idea. I also love to surprise people. The kid looks so cute and he did the work very well. I appreciate it and your meaning project plan. Keep it up and go ahead man. @brian.rrr
