home experiment (does plants need moister)

I am planing to do an experiment to see if plants grow better in a moist area .
If there is anyone who has any ideas can you please send them to me.

My aim is to plant coriander seeds as follows

1. Use 2 of the same kind of containers
2. Use the same amount of soil
3. Use the same kind of soil
4. Use the same amount of seeds
5. Plant the seeds at the same depth
6. Water the plants with the same amount of water
7. Place the containers next to one another

I will then cover one container with a plastic dome to retain the moisture
And the other one open .
