First I wanted to say welcome to the OR-I-GIN Tribe! We are excited to have you as part of our family, and we know that we will be able to provide to you with lots of valuable tips and tricks to support your mind, body and spirit.

Inside this articlel, I wanted to start you off with a philosophy of health which I like to call, "The 7 Keys to a Healthy Life". It's basically my belief and mantra on how to live a healthy, long, purposeful and fulfilling life.

  1. LIVE SIMPLY

Living simply allows you to sever activities and habits that kill too much time and hurt the most important areas of life. We spend most of our lives sleeping and working. Simplifying life allows us to work less on the things we hate, and more on the things we love.
Living a life of simplicity produces more diversification, opens up new experiences for spontaneity, and reduces expenses so you can accomplish more with less. Living simply can make your life full, happy, and fulfilling in every stage of human growth. And that’s why living a simple life is better.

  1. LOVE WATER

I believe water should be used in two major ways. The first is, Drink Lots of Pure Water. Water is the most important factor that helps sustain animal and plant life on Earth. More than 65% of the human body is water weight, and drinking more water has countless health benefits. Some of these benefits include; improving mental ability and physical performance, helping to get rid of toxins and losing weight, reducing the risk of heart attack and stroke, and decreases the risk of cancer and disease, and much more.

The second way is, Practice Hot/Cold Water Therapy. Hot and cold baths have been used for centuries and can tremendously help to increase energy, circulation, detoxification, metabolism, improve mood, reduce inflammation, and clear negative energy.

  1. FIND EASY WAYS TO EAT HEALTHY

Obviously, eating is a daily ritual. So if we are going to practice the "LIVE SIMPLY" Key, we should making eating an effortless practice. This is one of the reasons why we strive to offer products that are easy to use and can be incorporated into your everyday life. Nobody wants a strict diet plan and hard recipes when they are making a positive impact on their health.
Whether it’s your morning coffee, afternoon tea, or a tonic in the evening, we can supply you with the ingredients to make delicious and beneficial beverages at any time of the day.

  1. MEDITATE, BREATHE DEEP AND RELAX

Our mind, body and breath are interconnected. When we relax the body and calm the breath, naturally the mind will follow. Meditation and deep breathing is one of the most effective ways to relax and can be performed anytime, anywhere.

The two elements of any meditation practice are finding a focal point and letting go of any thoughts or feelings that arise. When we focus on deep rhythmic breathing, it helps to turn our consciousness inward. This allows your body and mind to relax. Your breath is the key.

  1. EXERCISE HARD AND STRETCH DAILY

Vigorous exercise is very important for health and is one of the most important habits you can develop that will transform your life. Regular exercise can make you healthier, happier, and better able to sleep. It boosts your memory and cognitive abilities, and it raises your creativity, as well as, your libido.

The benefits of short but intense periods of exercise can actually provide better results than a longer, lower-intensity session. You have to push yourself hard in that short period of time, but it's worth it. Trust me, your body will thank you.

Daily stretching is one of the easiest and most beneficial things that people can do for their bodies. Taking the time to learn a few simple stretches or yoga posses can help just about anyone achieve and maintain flexibility, relieve stress, and feel great every day.

  1. SPEND ALONE TIME IN NATURE

Have you ever noticed a difference in your mood, clarity of mind and energy level when you spend time in nature? I truly believe that being outside in nature makes us feel more alive and gives us a sense of increased vitality. Nature is the key to the heart and soul of who we are, and this connection will take you back to the source.

When we spend solitude in nature, it lets us be alone with our feelings and thoughts, and this alone time is a very important piece of our emotional health and central to healing.

  1. LOVE THE EARTH

As humans, we are the stewards of the Earth. We alone are responsible for balancing the ecosystem of animal and plant life on our planet. So I ask you to be conscious and mindful of lowering your carbon footprint. Ways to accomplish a smaller footprint; ride your bicycle more to get around town, turn off the shower while lathering, be more conservative of gas and electric usage around the house, always recycle when it's available. I could go on and on, but you get the idea.

The Iroquois Nation had a concept called "seven generation stewardship", which advises the current generation of humans to live and work for the benefit of the seventh generation into the future. The Earth is the provider and we are the protectors, it is a symbiotic relationship that must be held in honor.
