Hi, I've been there and I know how it feels to know so little about Steem. If you don't have time to curate manually, just pick a good guy with the same SP as yours and follow his curation trail. If he is earning good with curation and you follow his trail then you earn good, too. But if you are not busy you need to choose people to curate and make sure to check 7 days after if the people you chose earned you curation, if you did not then find other people to curate. Usually you earn from smaller accounts and with good timing. Best of luck with your journey to find out the secrets. LOL
