Fokker - Dutch aircraft manufacturer

This time I would like to teach you some details about the Dutch aircraft Manufacturer, Fokker. Unfortunately, Fokker went bankrupt in 1996. I was on the viewing days before the auction and bought some typical Fokker stuff... A scale model of a Fokker 50 and a cup and saucer with of course the Fokker logo. I hope you enjoy my post. Do you have some ideas for a new post? Place a comment!

Fokker was a Dutch aircraft manufacturer named after its founder, Anthony Fokker. They build propeller aircraft (Fokker F-27 and Fokker 50) and jet aircraft (Fokker F-28 and Fokker 70 / 100). Fokker went into bankruptcy in 1996. Nowadays a lot of Fokker aircraft are still flying. The most Fokker aircraft fly in Australia and Africa. In Europe they are very rare.

The Dutch Government flew with the Fokker 70 until June 2017. This photo is made after the last flight for the Dutch Government. At Woensdrecht, there was the last opportunity to see this Fokker 70 before this aircraft went to Australia. Nowadays these aircraft fly VIP flights in Australia for Alliance Airlines.

Produced between 1992-1997. Only 37 airframes built. Seating capacity: 72-85 seats. Nowadays 34 aircrafts are still flying.
