The TK-250 turboshaft is equipped with the last generation electronic system that automatically manage the engine functionality for the pilot's peace of mind.

THE TURBINE

The TK-250 turboshaft engine: a concentration of technology, cutting-edge solutions, software design of the first order,

professionalism , passion and conviction have allowed Konner gas turbine division to develop the engine turboshaft world's lightest in its category:250hp concentrated in 50kg of pure passion. Konner , owner of the construction technology and design of the turboshaft engine , ensures high availability production , technical assistance, maintenance and global management of spare parts .

TK-250 is derived from an experience of over thirty years in the field of turbines and air force, years of research, development, thousands of hours of testing on the bench and in flight on vehicles used in real laboratories flying with only aim to affirm the reliability of an engine that makes the power, ease of use and safety the cornerstone of his being.

The FADEC (full autority digital electronic control) developed by Konner gas turbines division provides electronic engine management in all its phases, the automatic switch allows the driver to listen to the power flow without worrying about managing any parameters. During the flight, the pilot must only engage the engine, exploiting their quality to the end, while the FADEC provides immediate response, efficiency and operational limits .

The presence of redundant electronics guarantee proper operation of the turbine in any condition, a battery of support systems dedicated and separate power ensure the availability of energy to electronic systems. The graphical interface and an elegant and essential digital dashboard allow the pilot a continuous monitoring of the motor.

DIESEL: this is the fuel of the TK-250. Thousands of flight hours using diesel fuel certify the reliability of the turboshaft engine installed on Konner K1. The low flammability, the availability in every corner of the globe and the reduced cost of diesel fuel, making it the ideal fuel in aviation. Imagine the ease of being able to supply to any service station for cars, anywhere in the world. The fuel circuit, injectors, combustion chamber, filtration systems and preheating of the fuel, the pumps and the FADEC are designed to ensure efficiency and reliability with the use of multiple fuels and mixtures of them without the need of technical intervention. Among the many fuel used and widely tested in flight on the TK-250, the most popular and interesting are diesel, biodiesel, JP - 2, JP - 4 .

Reliability, security, power and lightness, intrinsic(inherent) qualities enclosed within the TK - 250.

The TK-250 is extremely simple to start-up, operate and shut-down. A simplified procedure is described below:

AUTOMATIC STARTING: just move the dash board selector from OFF to IDLE and the FADEC will start-up the engine automatically, in total safety for the engine and the crew, keeping the engine parameters within the safety limits and stabilizing the speed of the IDLE set-point of 80%;
GO TO FLY: When you are ready to lift-off, move the selector from IDLE to FLY and the FADEC will bring the RPM in operating range. The FADEC will keep managing the engine functionally and all of its parameters during the flight so it can be performed in totaly safety and the pilot won't need to worry about controlling the engine. The FADEC also serves to keep the engine within the manufactured established safe parameters at all time hence eliminating the possible human factor;
SHUT OFF the TK-250: if you decide to shut the engine OFF, move the selector from LIGHT to IDLE position. The FADEC will immediatly bring the RPM down to the IDLE set-point of 80%. At this point, the pilot needs to move the selector back to the OFF position and the FADEC will initiate the actual shut-down procedure and soon after the engine will automatically shutdown.
REDUNDANCY: FLY SAFE

The TK-250 electronics have been developped to allow the operator to fly with a high degree of redundancy and safety as well as flexibility:

Two indipendent ECU guarantee complete engine control in any situation;
The pilot can choose at any time during the flight, whether to use the main FADEC ensure that all the functionally and parameters of the engine are under control within limits at all time, while the back-up ECU. The FADEC ensures RPM stability and continued running of the engine in case of a fault or malfunction of the FADEC unit.
TORQUEMETER: the TK-250 is equipped with a torquemeter which is a high precision instrument that allows to know at any given time the used, and so forth the still available power. The margin of safety is increased and the power reserve is always very clear for the pilot.
