Does anyone know about the history of Alefantis' name? Did he choose it himself?

One interesting thing to note, is that if you translate "a l'enfantis" (very close to "alefantis") it is french for "Has the children".

"a l'efantis" translates to "Has the eggs". Is there any significance of "eggs" in the Pedo code words?
