Community Update: A Closer Look At pixEOS

“Here's to the crazy ones, the misfits, the rebels, the troublemakers, the round pegs in the square holes... the ones who see things differently -- they're not fond of rules... You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them, but the only thing you can't do is ignore them because they change things... they push the human race forward, and while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius, because the ones who are crazy enough to think that they can change the world, are the ones who do."
-Steve Jobs (1955 - 2011)
This popular quote by a revolutionizing figure of our modern day perfectly embodies the type of community that we at pixEOS want to build together with you. It also speaks to the core of the way we are creating the pixEOS platforms and economic system.
We understand that art is a purely creative medium, and artists are the most creative people on earth!

Let’s delve a bit deeper into the pixEOS staking system:

Over the course of the development and engineering of the pixEOS platform, and our community building outreach, we have prided ourselves on giving back to the community. Our approach towards the staking system follows the same ethos, and we feel that it is the best way to build a long term and sustainable arts & gaming platform.
The staking system is a vital component of the pixEOS ecosystem, and we feel that this should be viewed as a reward for the true pixEOS supporters.
As the ecosystem grows over time the stakers will always be the first to benefit from this growth. Therefore we have outlined a system and a roadmap that caters towards actual use of the platforms whereby growth is incentivized. We have observed the staking mechanisms from other EOS platforms for a long time now, and we care about both the utility and stability of the token. With this new system we believe that the pixEOS economic structure will be one of the most innovative and robust in the EOS and the crypto space.
There are two important aspects here that we want to disclose:
If you want EOS gains and profit while you have fun then the pixEOS platform is the place for you. The pixEOS paint game is a prime example of that, where people will have fun drawing over each other's pixels, and will also manage to earn some EOS while playing.
We value transparency the most, so we want to announce that 25% percent of the profits of all dApps on the pixEOS platform will be rewarded back to pixEOS stakers, in some way or another.
pixEOS Paint: A Multifaceted Gaming Canvas
pixEOS paint is more than just a game, and we've engineered some innovative featured into the tokenomics that will incentivize everyone to interact, participate, and earn tokens while creating unique art. Before you can get started, be sure you have all the right tools:

The game mechanic is simple; spend EOS to paint pixels on the communal digital canvas, and earn pixEOS:

Everyone who paints on the pixEOS paint canvas is also entitled to special bonuses. There are multiple bonuses and the more you play the more you can earn:

In order for the bonuses to activate on the canvas you're participating on, a minimum purchase threshold of 150,000 pixels must be met. Until the threshold is met, bonuses will continue to accrue, and once it at least 150,000 pixels have been purchased, funds may be withdrawn, and the pot will activate.
We also intend to reward pixEOS stakers by taking the following additional steps:
For the first 6 Months starting when the first canvas of pixEOS paint goes live, 10 Million pixEOS will be distributed daily to the stakers. The staking system will divide and distribute this amount of daily tokens proportionally to how many pixEOS each person has staked. (We expect a 1% to 3% daily pixEOS reward depending on how how many people are staking and how many tokens are being staked at any given time).
25% of the pixEOS paint EOS profits (and of all the subsequent pixEOS platforms) will be airdropped weekly to pixEOS stakers, again based on how many pixEOS each person has staked. To be eligible for this weekly EOS airdrop, pixEOS must be staked for over 7 days / 168 hours.
Each platform will have its own economic structure, but in the pixEOS paint platform, 20% of the proceeds will serve to fund a buy-back program of pixEOS tokens from Exchanges. These bought-back pixEOS will then be distributed amongst the people staking pixEOS tokens, again proportionally to the amount of pixEOS staked. (This last rewards structure will only go live once pixEOS is officially listed on the exchanges).
In addition, our team is taking precautions to promote stability by deferring listing on any exchanges until such time as that the platform’s volume is sufficient while implementing reasonable minting stages. These measures will ultimately help strengthen the platform and allow for longterm growth.
As you can see, here at pixEOS we think very differently from the conventional crypto norm, and want to build a long-lasting and thriving games & arts platform, so our approach towards all of these systems is very different from the current staking systems. We are round pegs and proud of it!
