PIVX is prime for mass adoption.

This is my first steemit post. I'm not new to the cryptocurrency space. I'm not a whale by any means. I'm not an expert trader. I do study crypto daily. Have been for 5 years. I've looked at coin after coin. I can say without a doubt in my mind that PIVX has what it takes for mass adoption. I say this because of many reasons. But the most important reasons are cheap electricity cost and no mining. It has been calculated that one wind turbine could run the entire global network for a year. Sure, there are many PoS (proof of stake) coins out there. PIVX has the power of the community. And the dev team is outstanding. Presstab is an original dev of the libzerocoin protocol that makes zPiv possible. They have 11k+ commits on Github. Are on multiple exchanges. No shady gimmicky ad campaign. No spamming of youtube comments (like some other shifty privacy coin.) PIVX is backed by a real team of dedicated individuals and a strong community.

PIVX is going through some growing pains right now. The iOS app was rejected, but resubmitted. The website needs revamping. They have a huge 2018 roadmap of features, most of which they haven't even divulge yet. One awesome feature coming soon is zPiv staking. And with higher rewards to entice zPiv staking. Lets face it, people aren't using zPiv because they want to stake their pivx. If I could do that, I would. I'm not sure if running a masternode with zPiv is possible or in the future. That would be super nice, then eventually do away with straight pivx and be 100% zPiv.

Another feature I'm excited about is the use of a FIDO key to unlock your wallet. I use a FIDO key for my email service and it's unhackable.

Here's another really good reason PIVX can go mass adoption. Many people don't want to mine crypto, it's too technical and requires loud, hot machines that can potentially catch your house on fire. Furthermore miners control the network and govern it's decisions. With a future wallet update the team will introduce a voting system for the holders of PIVX, not just the masternode operators.

And my final argument for mass adoption. Staking pivx earns you pivx. When you hold fiat money in your bank account, you receive interest. Albeit <1%, but you get interest. With PIVX, you get ~4.5% APY for your holdings. Other PoS coins claim much higher yields but this is more practical. Insanely higher APY's promote a pump/dump mentality. PIVX will incentivize holding/saving. Something many people don't do. So to do this, the pivx team needs to come up with a way for the average person to stake pivx with minimal effort and without running a full node and with no third party help.

I believe PIVX has the best tech, the best devs, the best community, and the best vision for the future. They are dedicated and working daily to make all these advancements and more come true. I left a lot out of this post for brevity. I want to make a strong case for mass adoption of PIVX. When people talk about cryptocurrencies right now, they discuss bitcoin, ethereum, (cough) ripple, etc. We want them to say PIVX and only PIVX.

In certain areas of the world, mining is banned. But staking is not, it can't be banned. If PIVX proves to the world that a 100% PoS coin can become market dominant, mining will fall out of existence, energy will be saved, and time invested in mining can be invested elsewhere. A reallocation of resources.
