Copes Corner Pirate Radio Chat 20.09.2018

Many thanks to those that joined us for another round of Copes Corner Pirate Radio, after kicking off with some tunes we had @m1 bring a topic of discussion up in the chat that needed some expanding on, that topic was suicide. Seeing as i had recently been affected by this situation not only in personal context, but also in that literally the day before a friend of mine had decided to take their own life, i thought it was a relevant point of discussion for us to explore.

Naturally we decided to call @zipporah from the audience to the podium for a chat on the subject as we have touched on the subject somewhat over the past few of weeks of conversating on the air on various shows. The question posed was based on the societal views on suicide being negative, and as we delved into the topics associated with suicide and the social norms @amberyooper jumped to add another perspective on the matter.

We continued to traverse the mountain of a topic with concepts of what is deemed appropriate as a reasoning for suicide, from mental illness, life difficulties, dealing with pain, break ups and much more. it was not long into this segment that we were joined by @vladivostok fleshing out the discussion and concepts further.

with a full crew on the air and lots happening in the chatspace we spent a good couple of hours on the subject of suicide, assisted suicide, similarities and discrepancies to euthanasia of animals, dying with dignity, people left behind, mental state of people who murder/suicide, etc.

As we got into the later hours of the show @amberyooper, @vladivostok and myself stuck around and had a mini jam session and having a chat on air, playing a few tracks on some instruments , demoing some of what we gots and getting some prac in, was a good run of pirate , at least from my perspective. Again many thanks, kudos for those that tuned in , super domo arigato for those that jumped on for a chat and jam session, much love in all yall directions and copious hugs for all :)
