The best places to find ebooks...

in #piracy7 years ago

To those of you who haven't kept up with the times (and can still read). I present to you the best sites for getting ebooks. DISCLAIMER: I DON'T SUPPORT PIRACY. AND PLEASE DON'T BLAME ME IN THE UNLIKELY EVENT THAT YOU GET INTO TROUBLE.

  1. b-ok.org (or https://zlibraryexau2g3p.onion – for all you TOR users, if you're not already you should become one today at torproject.org) is probably the best resource you'll find. It claims to have 2.7 million + books, and although it does comply with US Copyright regs – you can get around this by using TOR (ONCE AGAIN I DON'T ADVOCATE PIRACY)
  2. The Imperial Library of Trantor – it's only accessible on TOR (xfmro77i3lixucja.onion)
  3. pdforigin.net – It's OK, but it's not the best. You should also be aware that Adobe Reader has critical security bugs in it and should not be used to open PDF's.
  4. gutenberg.org – It's OK, but (again) it's not the best. It's a large collection of free eBooks, the advantage being that they're all legal.
  5. lumendatabase.org Yes, it's a list of copyright violations, but you are (sort-of) guaranteed that you will find the resource you want – why else would someone bother sending a DCMA complaint to Google? Be careful though, they turn into scams pretty quickly (ownership is transferred, so newer is best) – but they are pretty obvious to spot. Word of advice: download-geek.com is a FAKE site
