Probably we have to think what could be done so that good people wouldn't leave... I know some things are beyond the power of regular users like you and me but some things still could be done, like engaging with good people on their posts.
Offering unique tokens as "tokens" of appreciation may help encourage people to stay. I know contests and games help engage people on the platform. Do you remember Steem-pocalypse by @papa-pepper?

Yes and simply sincere human-to-human interaction. But for some people it's really hard to find the time. And I'm one of them.
