Why buy a Handheld Game Console??

I think all the millenial kids who doesn't experience the days we spent our coins on playing arcade and video games will definitely say this thing. They will prefer playing on their mobile phones than buy a handheld game console.

But first, what is a Handheld Game console? As my dear wikipedia describe, it is a small, portable self-contained video game console with a built-in screen, game controls, and speakers.

Now that we know what is a Handheld Game Console lets go back to our topic, why buy this one?

Smartphone as a Tool for Gaming

Nowadays all the smartphones are getting bigger, the screen aspect ratio are turning great and it seems that all the functionality you might need can now be accomplished by this device. Camera, internet browsing, typing document and even Playing Video Games!!

But having these function doesn't mean it can be a substitute for such devices especially handheld game console,and here are some reasons why:

Smartphone is not a Handheld Gaming Console

Your mobile phone was originally designed for communication purposes. Meaning its function was to make phone calls and send text messages. While it is true that mobile companies are now upgrading the video card and creating a bigger screen of these devices in order to generate better graphics, these function were not meant to replace the real use of the mobile phones which is again, for communication with other human being.
For sure you don't want to be disturbed by a phone call from your girlfriend while having an intense fight on Mobile Legends, because definitely you will lose your game and eventually throw your mobile into smithereens.

Your mobile phone or smartphone was engineered to make phone calls so used it as a phone not as a game console.

Another thing is that it is difficult to play games on touch screen.

Touch Screen vs. Joystick

Playing on a mobile phone with the use of touchscreen might not give you a satisfactory result. The reason is that as the game progresses and became more intense you will surely notice some delay on character movements or even lagged on the game itself. The reason is because this devices cannot handle a simultaneous input in commands.

As you might noticed while playing games, the maximum of commands you can give to your mobile was limited to only 2 commands. All of these games were designed to play with either use of one hand like Clash of Clans and Candy Crush or with the two thumbs like Rules of Survival and Mobile legends. Giving a command that exceeded the maximum will make your character unable to perform any task.

On the other hand, the handheld gaming console has many buttons aside from joystick. Which means more buttons more commands you can input. The more commands you give, the more option you can make.

So now why would you buy a Handheld Game Console? The reason is to maximize the functions and capabilities of your smartphone. Imagine the scenario where you can play your favorite games while talking to your girlfriend on your mobile phones. Or riding in a long and boring 3 hour bus on your way to your work without worrying that your battery might not be sufficient for the whole day just because you used it on playing games. Also you can use the external memory of your mobile phone on taking pictures and videos than saving a game which you might not play eventually.

I am playing my nintendo switch for almost 2 months now and doing so gives my mobile phone another life. My battery last longer, my internet consumption became lesser and I can talk to my girlfriend on the phone while I am playing games at the bus on my way home. I am happy, she is happy so both of us were happy. I am telling you, buying a handheld game console is not a waste of money.
