How to Put up a Piggy Dripper

in #pigs6 years ago

We have no running water or ponds here. The pigs need mud to keep cool when the temps go over 75F because they can not sweat. So we set up a piggy dripper made of old drip hose, 3 2” x 4”s and a tarp. These guys said they were expert at digging holes and insisted on helping.

Excellent job!! Mud and shade a-plenty!

These 2 pigs were brother and sister, the brown one the barrow, the white the gilt. They were a Berkshire/Duroc cross and the sweetest tempered pigs we’ve had.

How cute are they??? Aaahhhhh now I want pigs too! #givemeallthefarmanimals <3

These were the best pigs we ever had. Sure hated to put them in the freezer.
