Steemit Learning Challenge-S27W2; Physiofit; Swelling Reduction Challenge
Hello friends I hope you are great today I am here to take part in another interesting learning challenge that is Steemit Learning Challenge-S27W2; Physiofit; Swelling Reduction Challenge
I'm very thankful to dear friend @ashkhan who gave us to learn about physiofits swelling reduction challenge
Task 1: First you have to share your knowledge about swelling, it's type and pathophysiology. (Explain only 4 types no need for extensive knowledge)
The swelling is more commonly known as edema which is happened due to accumulation of fluids in body tissue and become the reason of inflammation and puffing.
The affected areas shows the redness or puffiness with association of pain and discomfort.
It's more prominent in hand, feet, knee, face and abdomen etc.
Types
There are different types of swelling few are as follows.
Acute swelling
Chronic swelling
Pitting edema
non pitting edma
Cerebral swelling
Pulmonary swelling
1. Acute Swelling: this swelling may appear due to suddenly have an injury or due to any allergies.
2. Chronic Swelling: it may appear due to recurring puffiness which had any underlying medical conditions.
3. Pitting Edema: as the named reference this type of swelling gave a appearance of pitted or dent.
4. Non-Pitting Edema: this type of puffing doesn't have any appearance of dents.
Pathophysiology of swelling is interactions among different physiological factors.
Fluid accumulation: More commonly due to accumulation of excess of fluid in different tissues leads to swelling.
Inflammation due to involvement of certain chemicals such as histamine in leads to accommodation of excess of fluids and become the reason of inflammation.
Increased vascular permeability: there is a leakage of fluids in all blood vessels which become more permeable and become the reason of liquid leakage and lead to swelling or odema conditions.
When there is high blood pressure or there is any hindered in vein it may become the reason of leakage.
If there is any inflammation inside the body due to any injuries it becomes the reason of the odema.
Sometimes due to above mentioned factors there is less oxygen available to the cells and tissues and the situation of tissue hypoxia may exist.
So it can be summarise due to rapid permeability in the vascular or blood d vessel leads to leakage. The leakage in intercellular space also caused odema situations and in case of inflammation and injury it also causes the swelling or puffing.
The mechanic of pathophysiology may be helpful how to deal with the swelling, what could be the possible treatment. In order to reduce the effect consultation with healthcare is required.
Task 2: You have to find a patient with the Symptom and share history of injury or illness. You can also share your history too if your suffer from any injury recently that is present with symptom of swelling.
Well few days back my foot in ankle region shows the swelling and it was painful then I thought what is the reason it come to mind my foot was slipped and I was falling but at that moment I didn't feel any much pain and carried out my daily tasks.
When I got up in the morning I felt pain in ankle and it had swelling too. I tried to walk but it was painful for me and I was much upset what to do for reducing it.
Task 3: It would be better if you treat the patient pain by performing or apply above given physiotherapy management, share videos or pictures while performing and then review after getting treatment. (Try to use 2 methods at least)
Compression

For this I take cloth and wrapping around the feet and ankle and didn't make it much tighter. It gives me support enough to walk smoothly.
Elevation
For this purpose I wrapped the feet and ankle along with leg keep it in elavted position.

It's all about my today post.
I would like to invite my friends @m-fdo, @jannat12 and @iqrarana786 to take part in the challenge.
Thank you for understanding the challenge and sharing your assignment; I hope that you will enjoy this week's challenge and try to implement it in your life if you see any such case.
Observations
Thank you so much for review and suggestions.
