RE: Solids, Liquids and Gases… Is that it? – Part 2 (VERY INTERESTING!)

in #physics7 years ago

Wow it's really amazing!

Yeah read about Bose-Einstein Condensate as fifth state of matter in Science books in lower classes. But didn't have any idea about that.

As in quantum physics we read the light and almost all matter show both particle and wave nature. But this BEC is simply wave, which is just incredible.

Yeah, this will really revolutionise the whole technology, and may be one of the important requirements for teleportation, quantum computing.

But that won't be possible until we get very near to Absolute Zero temp. which is very much difficult.

But still hope is alive, who knows probably in future we could easily get to that Absolute Zero. Thanks to advancing science and technology.

So we get two other states of matter which are not observable in natural environment: one is Plasma (at very high temp.) and another is BEC (at very low temp.).

Thanks @mystifact for regularly bringing awesome science article. I also write about science and often fall short of topics, and as a result have to write about those know old topics like "what is life?" and so on.

Please give me some tips how you get ideas about such awesome topics. :)

It would be impossible to reach Absolute Zero due to the third law of Thermodynamics. The Quantum nature of particles at a fundamental level shows us that there must be movement (due to the Uncertainty Principle if you are interested). All we can do is get closer and closer to it, but never achieve it.

Thanks for your comment and I shall have a look :)

Yeah, Absolute Zero is just a theory like attaining 100% efficiency and is practically impossible.
