The Almighty Bottom Quark Bomb! This New Discovery About Fusing Bottom Quarks Should Shed Some Light On The Level Of Vacuum Energy In The Universe!steemCreated with Sketch.

When two charm quarks fuse, the particles bind with an energy of about 130 MeV and spit out 12 MeV in leftover energy . That charmed fusion was the first reaction of particles on this scale ever found to emit energy in this way, and is the headline result of a new study, published on Nov. 1 in the journal Nature. They call it a Quarksplosion.

But the real news is the even more energetic fusion of two bottom quarks, which bind with an energy of 280 MeV and spit out 138 MeV when they fuse. It is the second, and more powerful of the two reactions discovered.

For a comparison. The individual binding of hydrogen into helium in a fusion bomb (hydrogen bomb) is only 18 MeV compared to the 138 MeV of Bottom Quarks.

They say this is un-weaponize-able....I hope so...

Could you imagine a Bottom Quark Bomb?! Holy shit! Impossible is a subjective word btw. If I had a particles collider, and a transporter from Star Trek, and a temporal containment field, then I most certainly could build a bottom quark bomb. lol...not really.

Just because the tech doesn't exist NOW, doesn't mean it won't someday. Although you could argue that the moment this does exist it won't exist anymore, because that would be one hell of an explosion assuming you stockpiled the same amounts of matter as a hydrogen bomb. Or they could make much smaller bombs that yielded the same results as a giant hydrogen one would. Scary shit....

But it also shows you how smaller and smaller stuff is getting more and more energy! Which is somewhat counter-intuitive! Right?

I think this shows you that smaller and smaller stuff gets closer and closer to accessing that zero-point energy contained withing the fabric of space-time. While it is inaccessible to us, It seems to me that it is accessible to tiny particles...

Check out my post about Vacuum Energy for more on that thought...

Here's a video on Quark Stars to show you there may be places in the universe where Bottom Quarks exist in plenty! Going back to the not being able to make a bomb thing. Teleporting Quarks out of a Quark Star would probably be easier than using a particle collider :) haha Hell, you don't really even need a quark star, a neutron star would probably have plenty...
